Musings 1.11

Musings has undertaken a bit of a change. From now I’ll be posting once a month but with a selection of photos taken at a similar time along with some quotes I’ve liked during that period.

This batch was captured last week down in South Australia. I absolutely love it down there! It’s what I think many people picture Australia ‘should’ be like as far as landscape and isolation goes. We’re lucky enough to have family down there to visit and being able to spend that time in the remote desert, with no phone reception is always something I end up feeling much better for.

This trip is actually a pretty good explanation of the first quote I wanted to post -

“As humans, we have ‘hardware’ and ‘software’. Both have issues and both impact each other”

You can look at the ‘hardware’ as our physical self and surroundings and the ‘software’ as our emotional self. The ability to take yourself out of your physical surroundings and experience something different and new is almost like the old favourite suggestion to “turn it off and on again”. This trip for me has allowed me to have a bit of a reset before getting stuck into some difficult and meaningful work that I have planned this year.
