Brett never grew up with aspirations of becoming a motivational speaker, in fact he rarely liked being anywhere near the centre of attention. But life has a funny knack of taking us out of our comfort zones and through the nature of being a shark attack survivor, Brett was forced to develop these skills on the fly with various interviews, podcasts and public speaking opportunities being presented to him.

He quickly learned through the power of story and lived experience that people were completely engaged in what he had to say. He can clearly remember the feedback he got from his first speaking gig at a high school where the teachers said they had never seen their students so still and involved. From that point forward Brett knew he had a gift of being able to tell his story and most importantly an opportunity to pass on the profound life lessons he learnt throughout his experience.

Since then, Brett has spoken to thousands of people all over the world and honed his speaking skills, all while developing some key take aways that his audiences can use to evaluate their own lives and start to make changes to live a fulfilled life and be the best version of themselves.
