“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful...that’s what matters to me.” - Steve Jobs

I was actually searching for another Steve Jobs quote when I came across this one which I think summarises the sentiment of the other quote I was looking for. I still haven’t found the original words but it was something he said in the months leading up to his death where he realised that despite how much influence he had on the technology over the years, he was now in a situation where all of that work he did could not help him continue living.

There’s a sense of desperation in the original quote that I think is balanced really well with sentiment of this one. Despite the inevitability of death that he faced, he would always leave a lasting impact with the contributions that he was able to make. Although this work may not have been able to save his own life, it certainly changed the lives of many others.

There are countless quotes that reflect on death but I think this one is worth posting as a little reminder to do something wonderful today.
